Es la más conocida, ubicada a 12 km. del centro de Junín, siendo su acceso una ruta asfaltada a cuya vera se levantan pintorescas construcciones de fin de semana.
Tiene una superficie variable entre 3.500 a 4.000 has. y una profundidad en épocas normales que alcanza a los 2 mts.

Es la más explotada turísticamente, pues en ella se encuentra el Balneario Municipal, reuniendo características excepcionales para el desarrollo del turismo o miniturismo.
Posee 80 has. arboladas, caminos asfaltados, un espigón de 300 mts. y todos los servicios (iluminación, sanitarios, duchas, proveedurías, refugios, parrillas, información turística, capilla, primeros auxilios, teléfonos públicos, transporte público desde y hacia el centro, etc.)
